Have you ever wanted an easy way to create those nifty TeachText Read Only files that accompany most software releases (just like the file you’re reading now)? Or better yet, a simple way to change those files back into a standard, editable TeachText Document? These are 2 little drag & drop System 7.x utilities that let you quickly convert TeachText documents to and from Read Only status.
ttro -> TEXT
Drag any TeachText Read Only doc (the ones with those nifty developer icons) onto this icon and release. The file will automatically be converted into a standard Read/Write TeachText doc. You can then alter, cut & copy sections, or do whatever else you want to the file. Note that the original file MUST have a resource type `ttro` and creator `ttxt`.
TEXT -> ttro
Drag any TeachText Read/Write doc (the ones with the standard text icons) onto this icon and release. The file will automatically be converted into a TeachText Read Only doc that can only be read or printed, but not altered. Note that the original file MUST have a resource type `TEXT` and creator `ttxt`.
